Wonder City will open both indoor workshop and outdoor ice skating daily from November 28th , 2024 to January 7th, 2025.

Wonder City is located at 1457 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60642 in the plaza and space B4 of NEWCITY. Parking garage can be accessed via Schiller St.

Wonder City is open daily. Our hours may vary on some specific days From Nov. 28, 2024 – Jan. 7, 2025, Wonder City welcomes everyone. Complimentary Admission + activities at various price points. Hours of operation: Monday - Thursday ⛸️ 3pm to 9pm Friday - Sunday ⛸️ 10am to 10pm

Admission is complimentary for the plaza and Santa Workshop. All skaters must register in advance online here or on-site at the box office regardless if they are renting skates or bringing their own. All children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. On select dates, photos with Santa will be available with reservation. Packages can be found here

All patrons whether skating or not are required to sign a waiver to enter Wonder City.

Synthetic ice---also known as artificial ice, plastic ice, fake ice, polymer ice or silicon ice---is a fantastic alternative to traditional ice, that offers a smooth and seamless skating experience. At Wonder City we use the Glice Technology which is the best on the market! Glice eco-rink—looks like ice, feels like ice, but isn’t ice. Swiss Engineered and you can use your regular ice skates to glide. Glice is the market leader for premium synthetic ice, Glice eco-rinks function without electricity or water. Glice is the preferred synthetic ice among professional athletes because it provides an exceptionally realistic skating experience.

You are welcome to bring your own skates and enjoy a complimentary skating session. You can also rent a pair at the rink . Skate rentals are conveniently available for rental online simultaneously with your ticket confirmation or directly at the rink.

No. All ticket or rental purchases are final, as noted and agreed when purchased.

We are 100% Cashless and ONLY take Credit Cards or Apple Pay. A current government issued ID, which matches the name on the credit card, must be presented at time of payment. We do not accept Cash at any time.

We offer skate aids free of charge for anyone who needs an object to lean on to learn how to skate.

Should Wonder City Chicago need to close due to unsafe weather conditions, you will receive a message on your phone or email that you used to purchase your ticket. The information will also be posted on our NEWCITY & WonderCityChicago.com website and our partners social media. You will then have an option to reschedule your visit to a future date and time available.

You are allowed to leave and re-enter within 60 minutes of your booked ice time slot. The indoor environments will be limited by capacity and will allow in and out traffic.

From small parties to entire rink buyouts, Wonder City Chicago is an incredible venue for private events during the ice season. This year we also offer an indoor solution for birthday parties. Let us know more about your event at info@wondercitychicago.com

Yes, we do! Our campus tenants are SweetWaters, Tecalitlan, Earl's, King's Bowl Pizza and Nando's. Additionally, we will collaborate with partner vendors during special events who provide various food options.

Outside food is not allowed inside workshop space. You are allowed to bring outside beverage to Wonder City Chicago.

Strollers are permitted. We are not responsible lost or stolen items.

NEWCITY does not permit drugs, or smoking, including electronic cigarettes. Guests who appear intoxicated or under the influence will not be permitted to skate. The staff reserves the right to eject or deny entry to any guest who appears to be impaired or is causing a disturbance to other guests. Alcohol may be available at some special days for purchase at one of our food/beverage tenants for people above 21 years old.

There are full bathrooms on the second floor next to our event space. Under the AMC theater and above Nando's.

Yes. Parking NEWCITY is a breeze as we have our own parking garage. You have 2 easy option: Drive in using the Schiller St entrance and park on floors 3, 6, or 7 for Wonder City. Elevator Access: Simply take the elevator down to the first floor and walk towards the plaza. The 3rd floor is usually quiet, we recommend that floor. :) Remember, we offer discounted parking validation, so be sure to scan your parking ticket before leaving Wonder City at the workshop or with any Tennant. Parking rates with validation:​ $2 for 0 to 2 hours. $14 for 2 to 4 hours. $20 for 4 to 12 hours.

We understand how frustrating not receiving your tickets can be! First, did you check your email spam folder or ensure you used an active email/phone number to receive? Take a look and see if you can locate them. If not, no worries. When you arrive at Wonder City, our expert check in team at the entrance can help locate your tickets. Simply, be prepared to present a Current valid government issued ID which matches the name/credit card you used to purchase them. It’s that easy.
